Kate Copeland creates prints, books, and other multiples. Using cyanotype, salt printing, photogravure, and letterpress, her work ossifies the past in a crystalline present.

Copeland works at Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) at Willamette University in Portland, Oregon, USA, where she teaches printmaking and photography and served a five-year term as PNCA's Dean.

Copeland is currently serving as a Fulbright Scholar Alumni Ambassador. During her first Fulbright Scholar Fellowship in 2013, she taught Alternative Photographic Processes in the Graphic Arts Department of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. During her second Fulbright Scholar Fellowship in 2022, she taught workshops in the Printmaking Department of Royal Academy of Art Antwerp and served as an artist-in-residence at Industriemuseum.

Over the past fifteen years, Copeland has taught Foundation, Printmaking, Letterpress, Book Art, and Photography classes and workshops at various colleges and non-profit organizations including Pacific Northwest College of Art, Oregon College of Art and Craft, Rhode Island School of Design, Portland State University, Portland Community College, Highpoint Center for Printmaking, and Minnesota Center for Book Arts.
